Wally is a flutter app for mobile wallpapers.



Steps to Run/Build the Project

Flutter must be installed to run the project.

  • Clone the repository https://github.com/shibam-naskar/wally.git
  • Cd into the project directory.
  • Run flutter pub get
  • create a pixels api key For Free Create Api Key
  • paste the api key inside lib/pages/home.dart

  • To run the debug apk connect a physical device or emulator and run flutter run.
  • To build the release apk run flutter build apk.

    in the full screen image view page place a popup dialogue box on tap of the "set as wallpaper" button . on the dialogue box place a text "Set As Home Screen" and place two buttons bellow one is "OK" other one is "CANCEL"

    in the home page when user enters some queries in the search bar fetch images according to the query . without any search button . just call the search function when search field controller value is changed.

    when the image is setting to wallpaper its not as it is showing in the photos .

    so do fit the image in proper way and set as wallpaper.(as per screen size).

  • add favourites page

    add any local no sql database in app like hive and then add a icon button on wallpapers to add to favourites . store all favourite images links in the database . make a separate page to show all the favourite images . also give user option to un favourite any image.

    added a button with 'Set As Wallpaper' text. A dialog box will open on the onTap event of the button. The dialog box will contain two buttons 'Cancel' & 'Ok'. fixes #2
